Welcome to Praxis Core Seminar II, a comprehensive preparatory course designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to excel in the Praxis examination. This course is specifically tailored for students who are committed to passing the Praxis and gaining entry into the education department at Shaw University. Registration Info will be shared. Although this is an online course, weekly submissions are mandatory. These submissions will include weekly multiple choice quizzes to assist you in preparing for the exam, writing prompts to assist in preparation for the exam and more. You will also be required to register for Khan Academy and work in it weekly. Communication in this course is key!
Course Objectives:
- To provide targeted preparation for the Praxis I exam.
- To enhance your test-taking strategies and time management skills.
- To deepen your understanding of key concepts through diverse weekly assignments.
- To utilize Khan Academy and other resources for interactive learning and practice.
Course Components:
- Weekly Assignments: Engage in a variety of assignments including writing prompts, multiple-choice questions, and other practice exercises that mirror the Praxis format. These assignments are designed to reinforce your knowledge and assess your readiness. The weekly assignments will close and will not open after the due date. It is imperative that you complete these assignments.
- Online Testing Platform: Regular participation in Khan Academy and other online platforms will help you familiarize yourself with the test format, access practice questions, and track your progress.
- Interactive Learning: Collaborate with peers and participate in discussions to enhance your understanding and share strategies for tackling complex topics.
Requirements:
- Registration: Enrollment in Khan Academy is mandatory to ensure you receive the full spectrum of preparatory support.
- Participation: Active participation in all weekly assignments and online platforms is essential for success.
