This course is a course in one of the most radical movements in American History: The Black Arts Movement (BAM). We will have a conversation with a variety of ?texts? from and about the movement and ask such questions as ?How has the Black Arts Movement influenced subsequent history and the establishment of a black aesthetic?? and ?What other movements can be linked to this one, which took place in the 1960s and 1970s??
