Welcome to the Moodle introductory skills course for instructors.
The goal of this course is to provide instructors with an understanding of the Moodle Learning Management System's basic functionality. Upon successful completion, you will be able to start developing your own Moodle course sites and achieve eThink's recommended "Moodle Minimum" for traditional face-to-face courses. You can think of this course as addressing those items you would need to know as a “course creator” in Moodle. In our Moodle 201 – Course Management training course, we discuss functionalities one would employ after creating the course and moving into managing it.
Each of the sections below represent a learning objective for this course and will contain a video tutorial and mastery exercise for participants to demonstrate their understanding of that topic.
Any item with a check mark next to it on the right indicates that an action is required on your part. This is called "completion status" and can be set by the instructor to require a specific action, or so that students may manually check it off as complete themselves.
Once you have earned all the check marks, you will have completed the Moodle 101 - Course Creation practice course. It will remain available for you to consult later on if you would like to look back at any of the resources or practice with activities.
