This course is designed to develop and promote a comprehensive understanding of the meaning and role of multicultural education and its practical application in the classroom and early childhood education settings of the 21st century. Course topics will include an explication of salient multicultural and diversity concepts (e.g. culture and cultural diversity) and their apt application in the discussing methods of providing culturally proficient and empathetic multicultural education experiences for teacher/caregiver, learners, and parents.
